"I was a towhead until I was probably 17 while I started dying my hair. Now I don’t even understand what I am," she told Us Thursday by a Proactiv event in NYC.

"I would never do this, merely I would adore to mow my brain and begin over and have my own naturally-colored, healthy, pretty hair," she laughed. "But at the same time, I’ll just attempt to a standing ovation it."

The 22-year-old Burlesque charm — who’s currently dating Ryan Seacrest — confessed that preserving her mane is an of her biggest beauty splurges.

Clad in a David Meister wear and Ferragamo platforms, the dancer/singer/actress said she often fantasizes approximately what she’d look favor if she’d never switched up her ‘do.

When she isn’t tending to her tresses or prepping for a red carpet event, Hough said her beauty routine is fairly simple.

"It costs a lot of money to obtain your hair done — it’s not inexpensive — but you don’t ambition to ruin it, and you want you go to the best person and the human who’s going to keep it healthy," Hough said.

"The Proactiv refining mask is probably my preference entity. I have it everywhere — it always works Fake Iceberg!" she told Us. "When I’m no working, I never blow-dry my hair. I work apt nap with my cilia rainy so namely there’s not heat or anything aboard my hair. I not wear composition, and whether I do it’s fair concealer for my eyes and that’s it."
